PGDip and MSc progression
After successfully completing the Level 7 Certificate in Implant Dentistry, learners may apply for entry into either the Level 7 Diploma or the MSc, with Approved Prior Learning (APL) exemptions:
PLevel 7 Diploma in Implant Dentistry
Once the PGCert has been successfully completed learners may apply to enrol on the Level 7 Diploma in Implant Dentistry with a 60 credit exemption from the following 4 modules of the PGDip:
1. Patient Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
2. Preclinical Practical Skills
3. Implant Prosthodontics and Occlusion
4. Clinical Cases
Learners will need to take the following modules to qualify for the 90 credit PGDip:
1. Basic Sciences Related to Implant Dentistry (15 credits)
2. Evidence Based Dentistry (15 credits)
The PGDip tuition fee with this APL entry is £2,000 + VAT
Master of Science in Advanced Dental Implantology
Once the PGCert has been successfully completed learners may apply to enrol on the MSc in Advanced Dental Implantology with a 60 credit exemption from the following 4 modules of Year 1:
1. Patient Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
2. Preclinical Practical Skills
3. Implant Prosthodontics and Occlusion
4. Clinical Cases
Learners will need to take the following modules in Year 1 before entering Year 2 of the MSc:
1. Basic Sciences Related to Implant Dentistry (15 credits)
2. Evidence Based Dentistry (15 credits)
- Students must have achieved a minimum of 60% in all PGCert modules to be eligible for APL entry into the MSc
- Students must achieve a minimum of 60% in both of the remaining modules of MSc Year 1 to be eligible for progression to Year 2 of the MSc degree.
The fee to enter Year 1 of the MSc with APL entry is £3,000 + VAT. The normal MSc Year 2 fee will apply.
